What makes this design royal? It was inspired by a soup bowl from an 18th century dinner service created for an empress. The geometry was just so intriguing to me and I was determined to figure out how to translate it thread and fabric. This design uses cross stitch, backstitch, and smyrna crosses.

Model stitched on 32 count Blackberry linen from Fabric Flair using 2 colors of Threadworx, (Emerald and Reflections), Petite Treasure Braid in gold, and Mill Hill petite seed beads.
