Designer’s note – Amish quilts have always fascinated me; I am quite taken with their simplistic beauty, stunning use of solid color fabrics, and rich history. In 2024, I was fortunate to see an exhibit featuring these remarkable quilts. At the entrance, a breathtaking Broken Star quilt immediately drew me in. I knew I wanted to capture its beauty in a cross stitch design. This pattern is my tribute to the anonymous Amish woman from a century ago who chose such a striking color palette. I honor her vision by selecting similar DMC thread colors for this design.
